Restoration, Recovery, Rebuilding

Hasselblad 500
This is the only surviving carcass left of my camera collection.

Hundreds of photographers lost their cameras, lenses, and equipment in the Eaton Fires. Let’s fix that!

Altadena Photographers is a registry where photographers can list the gear they lost—and donors can step in to help replace it, whether by gifting or purchasing directly. Think of it like a registry for photographers, connecting those in need with those who want to give back. (And yes, it’s tax-deductible!)

Photographers & Donors

If you lost everything in the Eaton fires, you’re not alone. So many photographers, videographers and film folks lost their gear to the LA fires. We are doing something about it.

Register and tell us what you need to get back to what you love to do.

If you have a working camera, tripod, lighting equipment, or other photography gear collecting dust in your garage or closet, consider donating it to a photographer in need. Your generosity can help someone get back to creating.

Together, we’re building community, restoring cameras, tripods, lighting equipment, and more—helping photographers recover and create again. We’re all in this together.

Recovery takes time and that is all we have right now. We hear your stories of temporary housing, storage, cars lost and most of all your precious gear that burned in the LA fire. We know you worked so hard to get it. We may not replace “like for like” but we will get you some gear.

LA and beyond is here for you. Word is spreading and we continue to ask for help.

Photography is how we see the world…

Let’s make sure no one has to stop creating.

“Photography is about more than just taking pictures—it’s about giving back, sharing stories, and rebuilding what was lost. Think in terms of what can be done, not what can’t.”

Thank you for your support and generosity.
